Helpful Tips

1. Stack firewood away from house and one foot off the ground
2. Repair all plumbing leaks or drips
3. Roof leaks must be repaired immediately
4. Clean rain gutters at least once in the fall
5. Keep garbage cans covered
6. Keep dog food in sealed plastic containers (plastic trash can)
7. Keep trees pruned away from the house
8. Caulk cracks in foundation, around windows and eaves into attic
9. Crawl space openings under and above house must be properly screened
10. Avoid use of wood chips near house or heavy watering near foundation
11. Install weather stripping under doors including garage door
